Today is Lag BaOmer—the 33rd day of the Omer and the yahrtzeit of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Rabbi Shimon was a great sage who gave us the Zohar, the first book that explores the mystical side of the Torah. Through it, we’re given a glimpse into the soul of the Torah—the depth, the beauty, and the meaning behind even the simplest verses.
He taught us that there’s so much more beneath the surface. That the stories we grew up with hold endless layers of wisdom, if we just take the time to look a little deeper.

📌 *Note:* The following tip is especially important for parents who, for whatever reason, weren’t able to give their child one-on-one attention before bedtime.

💖 *Always kiss your child goodnight, even if you weren’t home when they went to bed and they’re already asleep.*

*Here’s why:*

1️⃣ They might not actually be asleep. In that case, receiving this dose of your gentle, unconditional love may be just what they need to finally fall asleep peacefully and have a great night’s rest.

2️⃣ Even if they are, they still benefit from your gentle kiss! 😴💤 Rest assured, it registers in their soul, contributing to a more peaceful sleep.

*Bonus Tip:*

📖 Along with the gentle kiss, you may wish to whisper a soft prayer to Hashem 🙏—asking Him to protect them, to continue taking care of them, and to grant you the wisdom, strength, and resources to support them and guide them in the right way.
