AAMC Foundation - Art Curators

Our mission is to support & promote the work of curators in the non-profit visual arts sector by creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, professional development, and advancement; and to heighten public understanding of the curator's role in art museums. We believe curators are ambassadors of the art, artists, cultures and organizations that they serve, and present, interpret, and sa

feguard works of art, using their expertise and upholding professional and ethical standards. Locally and globally, curators create compelling experiences of art, culture, and creativity that change how people understand themselves and the world by stimulating new perspectives, ideas, and feelings.

The AAMC Foundation is now accepting applications for the Professional Alliance for Curators in Community (PACC) — a fully sponsored fellowship for intersectional, early-career curators with 3–5 years of experience.

The 10-month program supports curators who face barriers to advancement, with a focus on equity across gender, class, race, geography, and accessibility. Fellows receive mentorship, peer community, cohort-based learning, and two years of AAMC Foundation membership, with all travel, accommodation, and per diem covered.

Applications close June 26, 2026. Open to independent and international curators. The program is conducted in English, with virtual and in-person components based in New York City.

Being exceptional is no longer enough. Museums must be essential.
Artificial Intelligence in the Museum takes on one of the most urgent questions facing our field, not how museums adopt A.I., but how they redefine their purpose in an age shaped by it. Framed by High Museum of Art director Rand Suffolk's Artnet News Op-Ed "The Real A.I. Challenge for Museums Isn't Tech—It's Time," this conversation goes beyond the technology to ask what museums must become.
