HONORING DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING
On this MLK Day, HPRA recognizes Dr. King’s unwavering leadership and bravery that advanced civil rights and inspired movements for labor rights across the nation, including the fight for migrant workers’ dignity and justice.

His belief in the power of collective action laid the foundation for farm workers and their allies to demand fair wages, humane conditions, and respect for their labor.

At HPRA, we are committed to uplifting his legacy by amplifying voices and celebrating the relentless pursuit of equity, inclusion, justice, and opportunity for all. Let’s continue to stand together, inspired by his vision, to create a world where every person, every voice, and every story is valued.

One thought provoking question raised was, “How do you get around being seen or being selected for jobs and projects because you are the Hispanic/Latino in the room?”

Swipe to to see Carmen’s response as she sheds light on the reality of tokenism across industries.
