Lincoln Hall Award participant, Jeramiah Canery, donates $110 to "Guiding Eyes for the Blind". Jeramiah earned his donation with his project "Reading Eyes for the Blind". He earned pledge money for every book he read and every book report that he wrote after reading the book! Guiding eye dog Elaine gratefully accepts Jeramiah's donation and will be going to a visually impaired individual soon! Congratulations Jeramiah!! What a wonderful cause and an amazing example of the effect of the Award!!

NYMA staff join the USA National staff at their new headquarters in Chicago where they're developing exciting new strategies for the continued success of the award throughout the US! As well as sampling some of Chicago's famous deep dish pizza! 🍕

Once again a big congratulations to Award participant Kailen Mayfield for being one of 37 Eagle Academy students to make the impressive journey to speak at the Democratic National Convention! Kailen's mother describes the incredible moment during dress rehearsal when the students met and spoke with VP Joe Biden, she stated "One word...INDELIBLE". We are so proud of you Kailen!

Congratulations to one of our Award participants, Kailen Mayfield, for being invited along with 40 other Eagle Academy students and President and CEO of the Eagle Academy Foundation, David Banks, to speak at the Democratic National Convention on July 26th. The Students powerfully recited "Invictus", a poem by William Ernest Henley, and introduced several guest speakers to talk about the theme of the night, “A lifetime of fighting for children and families.” We are proud to have one of our Award participants included in such a spectacular night.

We want to congratulate friend of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award USA-New York Metropolitan Area, Mike Piazza, on being inducted into the class of 2016 National Baseball Hall of Fame this week in Cooperstown, NY! This Saturday at Citi Field, the Mets will celebrate his outstanding career by retiring the #31 jersey!
