As we approach the Festival of Freedom, and in these difficult days, we’re holding on to the faith that has carried the Jewish people from generation to generation:
“And the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from their hands.”

In this clip, the pure-hearted children of Tzohar Halev pray and give thanks for protection from Heaven, for miracles seen and unseen, and for healing, comfort, and true freedom for us all - speedily and soon.

Wishing you a joyful and peaceful Pesach, with good news, calm, and security for all Am Yisrael 🇮🇱🙏

A good teacher leaves a mark on the heart…

This time we chose to shine the spotlight on one of the rays of light at Tzohar Halev School in Rechasim: Asaf Malik, a teacher and therapist in woodworking and nature therapy who has been with us for more than 17 years.

Asaf is a man of vision, a trailblazer who always works from the heart. He is always looking ahead and developing every corner of the school. Among other things, he established an ecological garden together with the students, with beds and greenhouses, and led the forest classroom.

With creative hands, he took wood and nature and turned them into powerful emotional therapy tools. In every student he sees a point of light and inner strength. For children who struggle with emotional regulation he creates therapeutic tools. For a child who lost a parent he builds an object that preserves their memory. For children with other challenges he gives the chance to build furniture or games that develop confidence and creativity.

Thanks to him, the school’s woodshop has become a space for growth, development, and healing. Every student becomes an engineer, a designer, an architect, and an inventor. Its walls tell a story of creativity, dedication, and courageous educational leadership.

In addition, Asaf leads the educational vision of the after-school clubs, initiates impressive exhibits every month, and builds empowerment teams for the classroom aides. He is a rock of stability and a listening ear for everyone.

He is someone you can rely on, leaving his mark on the wood, and on the hearts and souls of us all.

Thank you, Asaf, for everything you do! 💛

The Tzohar Halev family bows its head as Master Sergeant Ran Gwili z”l, a Negev Special Patrol Unit (Yasam) officer who fell in battle on October 7 and was the last fallen hero whose body remained held in Gaza, is brought to burial.

The bond between Tzohar Halev and the Israel Police is far more than institutional cooperation - it is a connection of deeply caring hearts. For many years, the officers and fighters have been our partners on the journey, opening their hearts to our special children.

We send our deepest condolences to the Gwili family and to his friends in the Israel Police. We will continue to walk together with the police, to uphold the values of giving and bravery, and to always remember those in whose merit we are here.

May his memory be a blessing. 🕯️

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we at Tzohar Halev remember the darkness and choose light again every single day.

Our victory is every boy and girl who receives a warm embrace, an education, and the chance for a better future. For us, seeing the good and the light in every person is the truest answer.

We remember and never forget ‼️

In Israel, thousands of children and adults with disabilities need daily therapy so they can walk, speak, learn and connect.

Tzohar Halev gives more than 500,000 hours of therapy every year to over 3,000 people with special needs - totally free for the families.

Ben Shapiro and his family visited Tzohar Halev on their daughter’s bat mitzvah chesed trip and saw it up close.

Hanukkah of light and creativity at Tzohar Halev ✨🕎

This year, Hanukkah across the Tzohar Halev network was filled with light, creativity, and a great sense of pride. In every branch, the spirit of the holiday was felt in the activities, the learning, and the shared joy.

City pride in Beit Shemesh:
In honor of the 75th anniversary of the city of Beit Shemesh, the municipality initiated a special Hanukkah menorah exhibition made by students from across the city. With great excitement, a menorah created by a Tzohar Halev student was also chosen, as a testament to the creativity, dedication, and big hearts of our students.
Nechami Levy’s class created unique menorahs. Each student made a personal menorah and took it home.
In the photos - Yair proudly lights the menorah he made himself.

Ashdod - music in the light of Hanukkah:
At Magen Halev Beit Esther in Ashdod, a special Hanukkah-themed music lesson took place - sounds, songs, and light that connected the students to the spirit of the holiday in an experiential and emotional way.

Tzfat - light that connects:
At the school in Tzfat, Hanukkah was also celebrated in a warm and glowing atmosphere, with activities and photos that tell a story of community, values, and simple joy.

And in Rechasim, in our early childhood center, in our residential homes, and in all our other branches across the country, the light of Hanukkah was celebrated through a wide variety of activities.

Hanukkah reminds us that every small light joins together into a great light.
Thank you to the staff, the students, and the parents for creating, doing, and spreading light everywhere. ❤️
