Quilt N Queens Guild members have an exhibit and Artist Reception at Theater for the New City, 155 First Av., NYC, and it is a big hit. The exhibit runs till April 25th, noon to 7pm. Check put the creative quilts on exhibit in this vibrant neighborhood venue.

Sweets and snacks while quilting are a staple with my guild. One of my favorite America's Test Kitchen chefs that inspired goodies at the guild Hospitality table has gone to glory at age 49. She was not only a great chef, but a pioneer in the TV Culinary scene on Public Broadcasting channels, developed a mentor program for Chefs of Color, and advocate for Ovarian Cancer research. Rest in Peace Elle.

Chef Elle Simone Scott, the first Black woman to appear as a regular host on PBS' America's Test Kitchen, died Jan. 5 from ovarian cancer.
