Orphans & Education Fund Indonesia Jim Luce first visited Indonesia in 1995, traveling to Manado where he adopted his son Mathew. He has worked with orphans in Banda Aceh & Denpasar.

As founder of Orphans International Worldwide (www.orphansinternational.org), Jim has worked with orphaned children in Manado (North Sulawesi), Denpasar (Bali), and following the Tsunami of 2004, Banda Aceh (Sumatra). His adopted son Mathew is ethnically Chinese from Manado and speaks fluent Bahasa. Jim maintained a home near Taman Anggrek in Jakarta for several years. Jim writes on Indonesia for
