🇺🇸 STRONG PARTNERSHIPS CREATE GREATER IMPACT 🇺🇦

The annual Ukrainian Festival in Albany once again brought the community together to celebrate Ukrainian culture and raise funds to support Ukraine.

For the second year in a row, Brave Children of Ukraine took an active role in preparing the festival as part of the organizing committee and contributed two items to the charity auction.

We are especially grateful for our continued partnership with the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), Capital District of New York Branch, and Dr. Anna Allen, with whom we regularly organize initiatives and events for the Ukrainian and American communities.

🙏🏻 Together, UCCA and Brave Children of Ukraine have built a meaningful tradition of organizing Christmas and Easter Markets. These events bring the community together while helping preserve and share Ukrainian traditions, culture, and heritage with Americans. This December, we look forward to continuing this tradition with our next Christmas Market.

For us, partnership means combining experience, people, ideas, and resources around a shared purpose. 💙💛

When Ukrainian organizations work together, we can create greater support and more opportunities for Ukraine’s children.

Sofiia Stefaniak, 9 years old.

She is a kind, positive, and curious girl who loves robotics, dancing, and drawing. 🤖🎨💃

Her father, Taras Stefaniak, is a soldier of Ukraine’s 58th Brigade, call sign “Stefan.” He served in the Donetsk region, including the Pokrovsk and Pavlivka areas.
For the past two years, Taras has been held in Russian captivity in Novosibirsk.
While her father remains far from home, Sofiia continues to grow, learn, discover new interests, and dream about her future.

At Brave Children of Ukraine, we want children like Sofiia to feel supported through the most difficult periods of their childhood — to have opportunities to learn, develop their talents, and experience the joy every child deserves.

💜 We stand beside Sofiia and the children of Ukrainian defenders — those who gave their lives, those who continue to serve, and those who remain in captivity.

Позитивна, добра та допитлива дівчинка. Вона захоплюється робототехнікою, танцями та дуже любить малювати.
Її тато, Тарас Стефаняк, —військовослужбовець 58-ї бригади, позивний «Стефан». Він проходив службу на Донеччині, зокрема на Покровському напрямку та в районі Павлівки. Уже два роки Тарас перебуває в російському полоні в Новосибірську.

Поки тато далеко від дому, Софія продовжує рости, навчатися, відкривати для себе нові захоплення та мріяти про майбутнє.

У Brave Children of Ukraine ми прагнемо, щоб такі діти, як Софія, відчували підтримку навіть у найскладніші періоди свого дитинства — мали можливість навчатися, розвивати свої таланти та просто радіти тому, чому має радіти кожна дитина.

Brave Children of Ukraine CEO Mykola Melnyk, together with Board Members Oleh Bonchynskyi and Denys Haida, met with the Ukrainian community in Wisconsin.

The meeting was another opportunity to share more about our work, the children we support, and the importance of standing beside them as they grow, learn, and build their future.

We are deeply grateful to the Ukrainian community in Wisconsin for donating $2,000 to support the children in our programs.

This support will help us continue our programs and create more opportunities for children who have lost their fathers in defense of Ukraine.

In Washington, D.C., we engaged in advocacy work on Capitol Hill as part of the Ukraine Action Summit.

Together with the Ukrainian community, we met with members of the U.S. Congress to bring attention to priorities important to Ukraine.

🙏🏻It was important for us to be part of the united Ukrainian voice in Washington and to stand together in support of Ukraine and its future.

We sincerely thank the American Coalition for Ukraine for organizing the Ukraine Action Summit, bringing the Ukrainian community together, and giving us the opportunity to contribute to this shared mission.

🇺🇦 Oleh Bonchynskyi — a People’s Hero of Ukraine, recipient of the Order “For Courage” and the “For the Defense of Ukraine” distinction;
🇺🇦 Denys Haida — a People’s Hero of Ukraine, legendary “Cyborg” and defender of Donetsk International Airport, recipient of the Orders “For Courage,” 2nd and 3rd Classes;
🇺🇦 Mykola Melnyk — a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian War, Senior Lieutenant, company commander in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and recipient of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

🇺🇦 35 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE. $15,000 FOR THE TREATMENT OF UKRAINIAN CHILDREN 🇺🇸

The 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence became more than a celebration — it became a powerful expression of unity, compassion, and commitment to Ukraine’s future.

🙏🏻 The event was organized by Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA), Branch #3 in Phoenix; Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), Phoenix Branch; Protection of the Mother of God Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Phoenix; and Ukrainian Arizona Foundation.

Thanks to this initiative and the incredible support surrounding the event, Brave Children of Ukraine received $15,000 to help cover medical treatment for children in our care.

💜 Behind this contribution are children who need care, treatment, and the chance to grow up healthy. And behind this extraordinary act of generosity is a community that, even thousands of miles from Ukraine, continues to stand beside its people and turn solidarity into action.

We are profoundly grateful to the organizers, volunteers, donors, and every person who became part of this special day.

Ukraine’s independence is not only the freedom we celebrate. It is the future we protect — and our children are that future. 💙💛

35 РОКІВ НЕЗАЛЕЖНОСТІ. $15 000 НА ЛІКУВАННЯ УКРАЇНСЬКИХ ДІТЕЙ

Святкування 35-ї річниці Незалежності України стало значно більшим, ніж урочистою подією. Воно стало потужним проявом єдності української громади, небайдужості та відповідальності за майбутнє України.

Захід організували Союз Українок Америки (СУА), відділення №3 у Фініксі; Український Конгресовий Комітет Америки (УККА), відділення у місті Фінікс; Українська православна церква Святої Покрови у Фініксі та Ukrainian Arizona Foundation.

Завдяки цій ініціативі та підтримці, яку вдалося об’єднати навколо заходу, Brave Children of Ukraine отримав $15 000 на лікування наших підопічних дітей.

За цими $15 000 — діти, яким сьогодні потрібні допомога, лікування та шанс на здорове майбутнє. А за цією великою справою — українська громада, яка навіть за тисячі кілометрів від Батьківщини залишається поруч з Україною та перетворює свою підтримку на конкретні добрі справи.

Ми безмежно вдячні організаторам, волонтерам, благодійникам і кожному, хто став частиною цього особливого дня.

ONE CAMP. TEN DAYS. A WHOLE YEAR OF MEMORIES. 💜

Ten days of new friendships, discoveries, laughter, and adventures — and now an entire school year to remember them.

Our August camp gave our Brave Children something especially valuable before returning to school: the chance to simply be children. To meet new friends, try new things, spend active days together, laugh, explore, and create memories they will carry with them.

Now the backpacks are packed and school days are back, but we are happy knowing that a little piece of summer will stay with our children throughout the year. ☀️

We are sincerely grateful to our partners and everyone who helped make these ten days possible.
