The Baruch BSA's purpose is to further the aims of Baruch students in presenting to the College a group of intellectual, rational and socially aware students interested in upholding the highest traditions of human ideals, endeavor and philanthropy. Our culture is comprised of some of the richest values of life – peace, love, compassion, recreation, acceptance and all the great lessons passed on to
us from generations to generations. We have been proud of the appreciation we received for our cultural practices wherever we had a chance to express ourselves. Baruch College, with all its rich educational value and culture has prompted us to convey our true, rich cultural image in its diverse environment. We would like to mention the most prominent ones:
1. To give Baruch students opportunities to know more about Bangladesh through our various events/programs.
2. To build strong networking among the Bangladeshi students themselves and also among all other Baruch students in order to make them feel at home.
3. Especially for International students having language barrier, experiencing cultural shock and unfamiliarity with the system.
4. To encourage Bangladeshi immigrants all over the US to participate in educational programs offered by schools and colleges so that we can have a high turnover in schools and colleges to learn about all the great values this country can teach. Some of our immediate activities will include:
1. Collecting donations, including money, cloths, and food, for the poor and needy
2. Introducing indoor and outdoor games and tournaments for the Baruch students
3. Arranging marketing events to advertise our ideas
4. holding extracurricular activities (Singing, Dancing, Poetry, Art and Athletic Competitions)
5. Helping in job/volunteer search and referrals
6. School book borrowing/buying/selling
7. Peer course evaluations (senior students can help recommend students regarding professors teaching various courses at Baruch College)
8. Workshops/ fun engaging activities
9. Maintaining relationship with other Baruch Student Clubs and Inter-CUNY student clubs
10. Other events based on our success in local events in Baruch
