✨Denim Day Coalition Member Spotlight!✨

Tuning in post Denim Day NYC 2026 to share another amazing organization and resource for you all. Safe Horizon is the nation’s largest nonprofit victim service agency and has been a member of DDNYC for many years. Safe Horizon provides crisis support, such as lock replacement, orders of protection, advocacy for and with victims within police precincts and the courts, and shelter. Immediate and long term supports include safety planning, counseling, support groups, financial education, and finding safe, stable housing. Beyond direct support to impacted individuals, they also advocate for survivors at the local and national levels, arguing for changes in law, policy, and social services. 🔊🗣️Bronx Denim Day❗️We wear denim on Denim Day to protest victim-blaming and r**e myths and to show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. The tradition started after an Italian court implied that tight jeans meant consent.

This year’s Denim Day, founded in the Bronx in 2010 by Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center’s Start Strong Bronx program, focuses on Sexual Assault in the Cybersphere, exploring online harassment, digital safety, image-based abuse, and cyber exploitation.
