🤲 Giving Back. Serving with Love. Building a Stronger Community. ❤️

At Halal Food Connection (HFC), our pantry distributions are about more than giving out food. They are about sharing kindness, preserving dignity, supporting families in need, and reminding our neighbors that they are not alone.

A bag of groceries may seem small, but to a family going through a difficult time, it can bring relief, hope, and a smile. This is what community means: people helping people.

We encourage everyone, especially our young people, to volunteer and give back. Your time, your energy, and even a few hours of service can make a real difference in someone’s life.

🌿 Volunteer. Serve. Give. Inspire.
Together, we can build a stronger and more compassionate community.

At Halal Food Connections, we believe food is more than a meal—it is an introduction to service, a source of dignity, and a powerful way to bring communities together. 💚

This Thursday, HFC is proud to partner with Councilmember Kayla Santosuosso and Assemblyman Colton William for a free community food distribution in Brooklyn.

📅 Thursday, August 27, 2026
⏰ 4:00–5:00 PM
📍 Building 20 Association Office
2304 W 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223

Groceries will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, with one bag available per household.

HFC’s work is rooted in trust, dignity, and culturally responsive food access. Every distribution is an opportunity to nourish families, strengthen relationships, connect neighbors with resources, and remind our community that no one should have to face food insecurity alone.

We are grateful to Councilmember Kayla Santosuosso, Assemblyman William Colton, our community partners, volunteers, and neighbors for standing with us in this work. Meaningful change happens when we work together—and every partnership helps us reach another household with care.

Please share this post with anyone who may benefit. If you attend, volunteer, or help spread the word, tag HFC and our partners so we can celebrate the community making this possible.

Together, we are empowering communities through food security. 🤝🥬

❤️ HALAL FOOD CONNECTION — CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! ❤️

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

At Halal Food Connection (HFC), our work is only possible because of people who are willing to give something very valuable: their time, energy, and heart.

We invite all our volunteers, friends, brothers, sisters, and young people to join us in serving our community.

🤝 We need volunteers to help with:
• Feeding people experiencing homelessness every Friday and Saturday
• Preparing and setting up our food pantry
• Packing grocery bags and organizing food
• Helping during our pantry distributions
• Loading, unloading, cleaning, and supporting the team wherever needed

You don’t need to donate money to make a difference. Sometimes one hour of your time, two helping hands, and a kind heart can mean so much to another person.

This is more than distributing food. It is about dignity, compassion, unity, and giving back to the community.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”

Come volunteer with us. Bring your children, teenagers, family, and friends and teach the next generation the beauty of service, generosity, and caring for others.

❤️ Give your time. Share your energy. Serve with compassion.
Together, we can make a difference.
