We intend to run The Talented Tenth Highlanders Inc., coined TTH that will help teach our young people the importance of building their character one experience at a time, while we boost their desire for scholastic achievements and expose them to cultural refinements. Persons in the community will come to inspire our children to use their God given gifts and become professionals in tomorrow’s soci
ety. In addition, every day through short seminars our youth will be given the opportunity to learn one characters trait that make one successful. We will use power points, movies and question and answer forums to help drive home the points needed from each lesson. We also do much to teach an appreciation for the five major subjects i.e. With the use of games and competitions we will make sure the children learn in fun and exciting ways. We will also take the children out on trips in order to expose them to the world at large. It has become clear to us the founders of TTH that the adolescents of today are lacking in many of the essential character traits we hold so dear and regard so highly. Moreover, many of them have no professional orientation; they dislike school and anything that associates with it. To make matters worse, some go about aimlessly and clueless as to where their talents lie because they are never given the right opportunities. Such young people tend to behavior poorly because they have no orientation. During the summer camp children will be evaluated for compliance to our standard of conduct and can win trophies and medals. Children are also offered the opportunity to contest to win an ultimate prize of greater value i.e. To win this prize the help of parents are solicited as they evaluate the behavior and change in children at home and school over the course of a year.
