What a memorable weekend at the ! 🎬✨

NYWIFT was proud to return as a festival partner, co-presenting our panel, “Breaking the Frame – How Far Have Women in Film Really Come?” Featuring Rosanna Arquette (), Gina Gershon, (), Rachel Grady (), and Debra Granik, the conversation was moderated by NYWIFT CEO Cynthia López, with an introduction by Board President Kim Jackson ().

From this powerful discussion to our elegant reception and the presentation of the NYWIFT Awards for Excellence in Directing a Narrative Film, Excellence in Directing a Documentary Film, and the NYWIFT Impact Award, we loved celebrating the filmmakers, stories, and women shaping our industry.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to outgoing Executive Director and festival co-founder Meira Blaustein () for her extraordinary legacy. Her vision, dedication, and years of championing independent cinema have helped build a remarkable community and a festival that continues to inspire. Thank you, Meira, for all you’ve made possible! ❤️
