The Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. proudly collaborated on a special screening of THREE COLORS: PAN-AFRICAN (Three Colors Film) at Columbia University, co-directed by Columbia alum and our very own brother Tyler Ocasio Holmes (FA ‘17) (Tyler Ocasio Holmes), alongside Allison A. We appreciate everyone who joined us for this special experience and helped make the event a success. Shoutout to our collaborators poetry me, please® and everyone who contributed to bringing this vision to life!

Last Thursday, the brothers of the Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. collaborated with the ladies of the Legendary Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as well as ‘Total Equity Now’ (TEN) 📚 to encourage literacy across Harlem in front of the Schomburgcenter.

‘Total Equity Now’ actively celebrates and advances Black and Brown literacy and literature in Harlem. 20+ children and youth who contributed book recommendations left with a free book as well!

Special shoutout to ‘Total Equity Now’ & the Lambda chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. for including us for a second year in a row! Another shoutout to the Mu Sigma chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. for coming out to support the brotherhood 🤙🏾.

Last weekend, Bro. Chavez (Spr ’25) had the pleasure of attending the Eastern Region College Brothers’ Retreat at Rowan University, joining college brothers from across the region for a weekend centered on brotherhood, leadership development, and growth.

The future of Alpha is not something we simply wait for, but instead, something we must build together. Together, we will continue advancing an Eastern Region defined by value, strengthened through impact, and committed to progress.

Special acknowledgment to our Eastern Regional Assistant Vice President, Bro. Theodore R. Young II, and his outstanding team for their intentional planning of this retreat.

117 years ago, Eta “The Jewel” Chapter was chartered at Columbia University and was the first black Greek letter organization in NYC. The 7 prestigious charter members intended for the chapter to serve, advocate for, and lead the people of NYC and more than a century later, the Eta Chapter is continuing these ideals. Cheers to this legacy of greatness and all the brothers that uphold the light to this day ! Onward and upwards. 🤙🏽

The Brothers of Eta ‘The Jewel’ Chapter proudly present Spring 2026 Alpha Week: Ice Age. Alpha Week isn’t just tradition but a reflection of purpose, legacy, and impact. Built on the foundations of scholarship, fellowship, good character, and the uplifting of humanity.

This week, we celebrate the brothers who came before us, the work we’re actively doing now, and the standard we refuse to lower.

From game night to service, to “Ice an Alpha” — we’re bringing the heat all week long.

We look forward to seeing and safely engaging with you. 🤙🏾
