Still looking for a new home. Serious inquiries only (no 1st time dog owners)
-------‐-----------------------------------------------------------------Pearl is still looking for her forever home—sadly, her previous adoption didn't work out because she became too aggressive with her smaller canine brother. This 11-year-old, 80-lb. Labrador mix would do best in a home as an only fur-child. Known affectionately to shelter staff as Pearlie, she came to Barc shelter about 3 years ago after her owner had to travel/go to war? and the owner’s dad could not keep both her and his own dog. This sweet girl enjoys going on walks but is equally happy chilling indoors stretched out on the sofa or floor. While she listens to commands to sit and be still outside, she can be aggressive toward big dogs, so she’d benefit from a strong person who can handle her when she’s on the leash. Pearl is housebroken and is not food aggressive; she listens to commands and is food motivated. She absolutely aims to please and will be by your side and your fellow humans as much as she can, looking up at you with her adoring eyes. Her vaccinations are all up to date and she has some arthritis issues that are being regulated with Dosequin. Email BARC at [email protected]
