Looking forward to performing this work by our long time collaborator Gordon Getty at Festival Napa Valley!

Opening night of Festival Napa Valley’s 20th anniversary season fast approaches, and I’m especially excited about a part of the program that has personal significance for me: On July 10, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City will perform my piece “Young America,” conducted by Stephanie Childress. With America’s semiquincentennial being marked this month, it feels like a fitting moment to revisit this work. The evening’s music spans Beethoven to Dylan, and I am proud that my piece will be included. How wonderful to have these remarkable young voices bring it to life!
