MISSION STATEMENT
Established in 1997, The Grace Children’s Foundation (TGCF) is a United States based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in need globally through TGCF’s Children’s Resource Exchange Center (CREC) model with an emphasis on Healthcare—medical, surgical, rehabilitative care and groundbreaking research and cures. WHY WE EXIST
Millions of chil
dren are suffering from war, poverty, neglect and disease. There is a severe, often fatal gap—and a profound lack of innovative life changing product for children in need and their caregivers—in the coordination and delivery of vital resources. Countless people and organizations are working tirelessly to provide their care and expertise at home and on the front lines. However, without comprehensive coordination and communication, these efforts often fail to create sustainable social impact. THE CHALLENGE
The challenge is to efficiently and systematically connect any child of any background living anywhere in the world to the vital resources they require for their wellbeing. FILLING THE GAP
For the past two decades the Foundation has been working through the CREC manual network with partners and children from North and South America, Asia, Africa and Europe and, most recently, in the Middle East, connecting children to pro-bono and negotiated care on a case-by- case basis. In keeping with our common goals of empowering people to achieve more and to flourish in their lives with dignity and purpose, TGCF has partnered with innovators at Microsoft and Microsoft Philanthropies to systematize the articulation and delivery of vital resources. This partnership will facilitate the transition of the CREC network into a connective digital platform that will coordinate aid and close the gap between children in need and people and organizations ready to help them… combining human conscientiousness with technology. SCALING THE SOLUTION
The CREC digital platform is envisioned as the go-to source for pediatric health care, exponentially increasing the number of children served globally. The data management system will be accessible through a mobile app that will provide a connective, facilitation care management tool which will streamline communications between caregivers and providers and greatly improve the delivery of medical, surgical, rehabilitative care and groundbreaking research and cures for children in need. The CREC app will enable fast and efficient access to an international network of care, expertise and funding that will include information on medical missions, clinical trials, professional association meetings/conferences, funding platforms, transportation, travel/government documentation, hosting environments and community service programs...scaling the solution to the magnitude of the problem.
