Today we are honored to share a transformational milestone for MorDance.
MorDance has been awarded a $2 million Capital Projects Fund grant from the New York State Council on the Arts toward the creation of the MorDance Performing Arts Center in Dobbs Ferry.
Over the past decade, MorDance has grown into an institution serving thousands of individuals annually through performances, workshops, student matinees, educational initiatives, and community programs throughout Westchester County and beyond.
This transformational investment will support the creation of a permanent home for that work — including professional studios, a flexible black box theater, educational programming, and community gathering spaces designed to serve artists, students, families, and audiences for generations to come.
We are deeply grateful to the New York State Council on the Arts, Governor Kathy Hochul, the New York State Legislature, and the many artists, supporters, donors, elected officials, and community members who have helped make this vision possible.
The future home of MorDance is no longer just an idea. It is taking shape.
This project is made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
