2026 “Igniting the Dream” Gala, featured alumnae Tanay Davis

As a member of the 2026 FSH Alumnae Board, Tanay continues to pour back into the sisterhood that helped shape her journey.

Her message to the next generation of girls:
✨ Be fearless.
✨ Trust the process.
✨ Take the small steps.
✨ Never give up on yourself.

Because at Figure Skating in Harlem, the lessons extend far beyond the ice.

“When you fall, you get back up.” ❤️

From early morning practices and long nights at the rink to earning her Bachelor’s degree from and her Master’s degree from , Tanay has embodied the values of perseverance, leadership, and excellence every step of the way. Today, she is building a successful career as a Senior Communications Specialist at .

Tanay’s story is a powerful reminder that Harlem Heart can take you ANYWHERE.

Her journey also reflects the growing legacy of FSH alumnae creating impact far beyond the rink. They are the next generation of fearless leaders—opening doors, breaking barriers, and redefining what’s possible in sport, business, and beyond.

Thank you, Tanay, for continuing to invest in the next generation and showing our girls what’s possible both on and off the ice.

At our 2026 “Igniting the Dream” Gala, we were proud to honor Anika Noni Rose — the Tony Award-winning actress, Disney Legend, and voice of Princess Tiana, whose groundbreaking career across Broadway, film, and television has inspired generations to dream without limits.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came when FSH student and Broadway star McKenzie Lewis (Young Nala in The Lion King) presented Anika with her honoree award. McKenzie spoke about her own journey, the values she learned at Figure Skating in Harlem, the importance of falling down and getting back up again, and seeing role models like Anika gave her the courage to keep going through the audition process.

Throughout the night, Anika reminded our girls that dreams deserve “light, water, and love,” and that no dream is ever out of reach when you have the courage to reach for it.

Let’s give a shoutout to Anika, for leading with grace, authenticity, and Harlem Heart, and for helping our girls see themselves as the stars they already are.

For over a decade, Tina Lundgren has been a champion for girls, a leader in the sport of figure skating, and a mentor whose impact reaches far beyond the rink. ❤️⛸️

At our 2026 “Igniting the Dream” Gala, we celebrated not only Tina’s extraordinary dedication to Figure Skating in Harlem, but the generations of skaters she has helped guide — from our students in Harlem to members of Team USA.

Joined by fashion icon Vera Wang, Olympians past and present, celebrity chefs, philanthropists, and US Figure Skating CEO Matt Farrell, the evening reflected the deep community Tina has helped build across the skating world through mentorship, artistry, leadership, and sisterhood. ✨

One of the most powerful moments of the night came during Tina’s speech when she reminded our students:
“The success you have on the ice, or in the arena, makes you a winner for a moment. What you do and how you conduct yourself off the ice makes you a champion for life.”

Through her leadership, mentorship, and belief in young people, Tina has helped shape confidence, resilience, artistry, and sisterhood at every level of the sport. From her heartfelt speech to the special moment when she presented a newly named star in Orion’s Belt to Team USA, the evening was a beautiful reflection of the legacy she continues to build across the skating world. ✨

Her impact reminds our students that dreams are possible — and that true champions open doors for the next generation.

Thank you, Tina, for helping ignite Olympic-sized dreams with so much Harlem Heart.

A huge thank you to Wheels Up for generously flying Team USA from Stars On Ice in San Jose to our 2026 Igniting the Dream Gala!

Our “Igniting the Dream” Gala, presented by RBC Capital Markets, brought together Team USA, cultural icons, industry leaders, supporters, alumni, and, most importantly, the incredible students at the heart of Figure Skating in Harlem.

From powerful spoken word performances and emotional full-circle moments to Olympians pouring love into the next generation, the energy inside the room was unforgettable.

We were honored to celebrate alongside TEAM USA's Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn, Isabeau Levito, Madison Chock & Evan Bates and Danny O’Shea & Ellie Kam, Olympians like Jason Brown, Vincent Zhou, Alexa & Chris Knierim, and Champions in life like Vera Wang, Adriana Diaz, Marcus Samuelsson, Chef Daniel Boulud, and so many others who continue to believe in the brilliance and limitless potential of our girls.

We were also proud to honor the extraordinary Anika Noni Rose and Tina Lundgren, while paying tribute to the incredible legacy of Agnes Gund, whose unwavering support helped shape Figure Skating in Harlem for 28 consecutive years.

And because of this incredible community, we raised almost $1.6 million in support of the hundreds of girls and young women we serve through education, leadership development, and the artistry and discipline of figure skating.

Thank you to everyone who continues to dream with us, believe in our girls, and help us ignite what’s possible.

The dreams sparked that night will last a lifetime. ✨ Click the link in the bio to ignite a dream today.
