Here is the promised photo recap from our last event of this year’s Chopin & Friends Festival 🎶

We closed this year’s edition with an extraordinary recital by the great Luca Filastro — a pianist rooted in classical tradition who later embraced jazz, creating the perfect bridge between these two musical worlds.

Luca delivered a magnificent performance, presenting works by George Gershwin written for classical pianists, alongside his own brilliant improvisations. The evening reached its thrilling climax with “The Finger Breaker” by Willie “The Lion” Smith, which was met with tremendous applause. As a special surprise, the concert concluded with a four-hands duet, performed by Luca Filastro together with our Artistic Director Andrea Domenici.

🌟 Festival Memories – Concert No. 2 🌟

This post has been long overdue — technical issues kept us silent for a while — but it feels wonderful to return with beautiful memories from the second concert of our festival, which took place in November at Klavierhaus.

This special evening was dedicated to celebrating the 100th birthday anniversary of the legendary Oscar Peterson. We were honored to present an outstanding tribute performed by incredible musicians:

🎺 John Hasselback on trumpet
🎹 Andrea Domenici on piano
🥁 Ulysses Owens on drums

They delivered a magnificent program that truly captured the spirit, elegance, and joy of Oscar Peterson’s music.

To mark this jubilee, our audience was welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, raising a cheerful toast to the legacy of Oscar Peterson 🥂.

Last week we celebrated the centennial of the Polish Composers Union during our opening event at the Consulate — and the celebrations continue! 🎉
Tonight we’re hosting Oscar Peterson’s 100th birthday party at Klavierhaus! 🎹✨

On Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, we had the great honor of opening our festival at the Consulate General of Poland in New York, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Polish Composers’ Union.

It was a truly special and memorable evening, filled with beautiful music and inspiring performances. Our heartfelt thanks go to the amazing artists Anna Parkita, Maciej Parkita, Catherine Carson, and Samuel DeCaprio for sharing their incredible talent with us. 🎻🎹🎵
