We have big news! We are one of 48 organizations across the U.S. that were awarded a Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant, part of the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network. This grant will assist us in facilitating our creative writing workshops with veterans and caregivers! We are thrilled to host our upcoming workshops in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project and Blue Star Families.

It is summer again, so you know what that means! We are thrilled to announce another year of the WGI Invite to Write Challenge. This is an opportunity for all of our workshop participants to share their talents and create a new piece of writing inspired by our theme.

Our 2026 Invite to Write prompt is: What does home mean to you?

The prompt is completely up to your interpretation and creativity. Feel free to write in any genre or style.

Submissions close on August 31, 2026, and we will be sharing some of the pieces by WGI participants throughout the fall.
