Trans joy isn't one story. It's many.
We've been sharing stories through , a campaign created by InReach and GLAAD to increase visibility, hope, and access to safe, verified resources for trans men and trans masculine people.
Why focus on transmasculine experiences?
Because trans men and transmasculine people are often underrepresented in public conversations, despite facing significant challenges. At the launch of this campaign, fifty-two percent of trans men and transmasculine youth have seriously considered su***de. Thirty-six percent of the U.S. trans population identifies as trans men. We believe those stories deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
As a trans-led organization, we also believe the people closest to an experience should help shape how those stories are told. We have transmasculine staff members who have helped guide this campaign, ensuring it reflects the diversity, resilience, and humanity of our community.
We've also heard from some of our trans femme siblings that these posts have left them feeling unseen.
We hear you.
Our intention has never been to elevate one part of our community at the expense of another. Every part of our community deserves to see themselves reflected with dignity, hope, and authenticity.
