Our rescue kitties are training hard for the Cat Olympics! 🏅🐾 When they’re not wrestling each other, they’re practicing yoga poses, sunbathing like professionals, performing daring acrobatics, racing through the rescue, and perfecting their synchronized zoomies. 🤸‍♀️😹 They love every kind of sport—as long as snack breaks and long naps are included in the training schedule! Our little tuxedo kitten Bow has so much love to give!

🖤🤍 He adores every cat he meets—young or old—and is always seeking their love, attention, and companionship. Bow loves people just as much and will come looking for you to hold him, cuddle him, and play with him. His favorite way to show affection is by making biscuits on everyone—humans and kitties alike! He loves to nibble on you and groom you to let you know you belong to him.🥹

When we rescued him with his sibling, he was a very scared, underweight, hissing little boy and didn't want to be touched. After socializing him and giving him lots of love and affection (against his will 😹), he softened up. Look at him now! 💕

Bow is a gentle, beautiful, sweet boy with a heart overflowing with love. ❣️ 🐾🐈

💔 International Homeless Animals Day 💔

Today, we honor the countless animals still waiting for safety, love, and a place to call home. All lives matter.

If you see a hungry animal, please feed them.
If you see an injured animal, please help that poor soul.
Please don’t look away—they have no one else to ask for help. 💛

Every single night, we feed approximately 130 homeless cats across 18 colonies. We provide food, fresh water, shelter, medical care, TNR, and we rescue. They may be homeless, but they are never forgotten.💛

There are no referees at Astoria Cat Rescue... just two adorable siblings who have turned the stairs into their very own wrestling arena. One minute they're tackling each other, the next they're bunny-kicking, rolling, and dramatically "winning" the match. Five seconds later? They're curled up together like nothing ever happened.😹

Watching siblings grow up together is one of the sweetest parts of rescue. These playful wrestling matches help them build confidence, learn boundaries, burn off endless kitten energy, and strengthen the incredible bond they'll share for life.

💔 Gigi lost her eye, but she hasn’t lost her spirit. This sweet, playful kitten came to us with a severe eye infection. Sadly, her eye couldn’t be saved, and she now needs surgery to remove it and finally heal. We need to raise $2,672 for Gigi’s surgery and medical care.
