A heartfelt thank you to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and the Cancer Services Program of NYP Queens for providing valuable health services to our community at the DSI International Health Fair on July 30th 2026. 💚

Community members had the opportunity to access colorectal and prostate cancer screening and enrollment into the RoadMAP program. Eligible participants were also referred for mammograms and Pap smears to support early detection and prevention.

We also extend a big thank you to our dedicated volunteers and interns who worked tirelessly to help make the health fair a success. Your time, energy, and commitment made a meaningful difference.

A very special thank you to Papa Bamiteko for generously providing interpretation support for our Yoruba-speaking community members. Your assistance helped ensure that everyone could understand the information and access the services available. We truly appreciate you! 🙏🏾

Some highlights from the NYC Care “Light the Way” Truck event at the DSI International Health Fair on Thursday, July 30, 2026!

🎡 Community members had fun trying their luck at the Wheel of Fortune Spinner, while others took the opportunity to learn more about NYC Care, ask questions, and get important information about accessing health care services.

It was wonderful to see our community engaged, informed, and taking steps toward better health and well-being. 💚

BREAKING: The U.S. Supreme Court has STRUCK DOWN President Trump's Executive Order attempting to end birthright citizenship.

We applaud the Supreme Court for rightfully striking down the Trump administration’s unlawful attempt to end birthright citizenship. This decision reinforces the tenets of the 14th amendment and the right to citizenship for those born in the United States.

Birthright citizenship is protected by the U.S. Constitution and the president cannot simply change the Constitution if he disagrees with what it says. Birthright citizenship guarantees that anyone born in the U.S. is treated equally under the law if they are born in the United States.

The Trump administration issued the executive order to end birthright citizenship right after his second term began, unleashing a torrent of hateful and racist orders and policies aimed at achieving his mass deportation campaign. been pushing back on these attacks and will continue to do so along with our partners in these fights.
