Jack and Jill of America, Inc Metropolitan Chapter Established in 1939, it was the second chapter formed following the national organization’s founding in 1938.

The Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., based in Manhattan, New York City, is one of the organization's oldest and most distinguished chapters. Jack and Jill of America is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 to 19, dedicated to nurturing future African-American leaders through a focus on leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic engagement.

✨ Before the Mighty Metro Chapter officially kicked off summer vacation, we came together for our June Retreat & Chapter Meeting—a day dedicated to wellness, connection, and empowerment under the theme, “Empowered Women, Empowering Generations.”

We were inspired by our phenomenal guest speaker, Mother Tish Archie-Oliver, Chief Inclusion & Belonging Officer at Gap Inc., whose message encouraged us to lead with purpose and empower future generations.

We also appreciated Registered Parliamentarian Sabra S. Pacheco, who led an engaging parliamentary procedure brush-up workshop, equipping members with valuable knowledge to strengthen our chapter leadership.

Our wellness experience included chair massages, a refreshing mocktail bar, and relaxing sound bowl therapy—reminding us to pause, recharge, and invest in ourselves while strengthening the bonds of sisterhood.

Here’s to empowering one another, leading with purpose, and creating a legacy that inspires generations to come. 💜✨

Metro’s Crown Club’s Natural Hair Care & Braiding Workshop was an amazing success! ✨💕
From learning healthy hair care practices to exploring fun and creative braiding styles, our Jacks and Jills had an incredible time learning how to care for and celebrate their crowns. The room was filled with confidence, culture, creativity, and community — exactly what Crown Club is all about!
A very special thank you to for sharing your expertise, patience, and passion with our youth. Your guidance made this experience both educational and empowering. 💛
We also want to recognize our teen Crown Club Chair, Trinity Bowen, for planning and leading such a special and impactful day.

The Mighty Metro Chapter celebrated Black Family Day with a fun-filled day of mini golf, fellowship, and community at ⛳🖤 Families and friends came together to celebrate joy, connection, and culture while enjoying laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful moments together. Our Installation and Graduation Celebration was a beautiful day of joy, reflection, and celebration. This cherished occasion, which we look forward to all year, remains one of the most meaningful traditions in the Metropolitan Chapter’s 86-year history – a legacy of excellence, sisterhood, and service that is deeply treasured by generations of our members.

We proudly celebrated our 19 glorious teen graduates during our Installation and Graduation Celebration. Our LTAs and TAs had the honor of placing custom stoles, handmade in Ghana, on our seniors. May they always remember the pride we have in them and walk tall in their heritage as they carry the love and lessons of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and the Metropolitan Chapter with them to college and beyond.
