*How do I become a member of NN? Basic membership is free at this time. You may signify your affiliation by following NN's page on Facebook. Premium membership which denotes full WWND vetting and allegiance to NN principles (including block voting) is by invitation only and is charged at competitive rates commensurate with experience.

*What are the requirements o

f being a member of NN? We are frequently asked do I have to be a scholar of Reinhold Niebuhr in order to be part of NN. Many of our members and even founders have never read a word by him or about him and know only what they remember from cocktail parties. There is also a lot of confusion among the members and leaders between Niebuhr and Bonhoeffer. And Tyllik.

*How is NN governed? NN is governed through pure democracy at convenings of the NN council. Outside of these convenings, NN members are expected to uphold all statements and actions of the NN Executive without dissent or interrupting.

*What are some of NN's recent campaigns and victories? Just to name a few:
- NN has reduced smoking in the neighborhood by 18%.
- NN defeated efforts to turn Grant's Tomb into an indoor soccer arena for the field team of the Philly Wizards.
- Christmas tree pick up regardless of religion.
- NN convenes the annual invitation-only Inter-Street Corner Games /Dialogue(s) (aka "Intersectionals") featuring the major institutions in the neighborhood. (To be considered for major institution status, please contact NN.)

*What are some of NN's current priorities and campaigns? Just to name a few:
- What Would Niebuhr Do (WWND)?
- Opposing litter, dirt, foliage, and dirty snow on the streets.
- Addressing the vicinity's severe wind.
- Opposing cigarette smoking but supporting e-cigarettes.(FN)
- What to do about Grant's Tomb.

*Who are some of NN's unusual allies or opponents?

- Descendants of Ulysses S. Grant
- Numerous Bonhoeffer associations (both pro and anti Bonhoeffer)
- The 116th and Claremont Neighborhood Association (aka our rivals)
- NYU
- East River

*Does NN exercise its power to influence politics? No, NN is adamantly not involved in politics except to the degree it affects the quality of life in our neighborhood or the principles of Reinhold Niebuhr. NN does intend to meet with all the candidates for president. Also, NN members vote as a block in all elections. (FN) NN is adamantly opposed to regular cigarette smoking and "Big To***co". NN's support of e-cigarettes is in no way influenced by financial support it receives from the e-cigarette industry.
