The Monarch Foundation expresses its deepest concern, grief, and outrage regarding the ongoing incidents of sexual violence reported in Bangladesh. These acts of brutality against innocent individuals, particularly children and vulnerable persons, represent a severe violation of fundamental human rights and human dignity.
Each case is not merely a statistic, but a deeply human tragedy—lives permanently affected, families shattered, and communities left in fear and trauma. The recurrence of such incidents reflects a serious and urgent crisis that demands immediate and sustained national attention.
We strongly call upon the relevant authorities in Bangladesh to ensure:
Immediate, transparent, and thorough investigations
Swift enforcement of justice without delay or bias
Full accountability for perpetrators and any enablers
Strengthened protection systems for women and children
Long-term preventive measures and awareness initiatives
Justice must not be delayed, minimized, or ignored. Silence and inaction only deepen the suffering of survivors and weaken public trust in justice systems.
The Monarch Foundation urges all responsible stakeholders—including law enforcement agencies, policymakers, educational institutions, and civil society—to act collectively and urgently to prevent such crimes and protect the most vulnerable members of society.
We stand in full solidarity with victims and survivors. We are closely monitoring the situation and firmly demand justice, accountability, and meaningful systemic change.
