The passing of legendary designer Valentino Garavani leaves a profound void for all in the fragrance community. His passion and dedication to the world of beauty is his enduring legacy, capturing elegance at its epitome from the runway to the fragrance bottle. From the initial launch of his eponymous fragrance to the recent award-winning Born in Roma collection that elegantly paid tribute to the Eternal City, Valentino’s aesthetic in the world of fragrance was universal and will be everlasting. The Fragrance Foundation USA extends its heartfelt condolences to all who knew him, worked with him and were touched by his masterful craft.

This is a full circle moment for The Fragrance Foundation as we welcomed our Chairman, Jerry Vittoria, President of Global Fine Fragrance, dsm-firmenich, to the prestigious Circle of Champions. As one of the most passionate people in the fragrance industry who has championed daily for the perfumers and their craft, and the fragrance loving consumer, he is a true Champion of people. Awarded annually in recognition of exemplary stewardship and impact in the fragrance industry, the Circle of Champions Award celebrates the leaders who move our industry forward through their vision and dedication, including our transformative initiative for representation and inclusion, . While Jerry’s list of achievements are too many to list, his leadership skills of empathy, diplomacy, accessibility, and his authentic emotional connection to fragrance and genuine admiration for his team are ones to emulate and have served him well in his 35-year career, and as our Board Chair for over a decade. Thank you for dreaming big and for leading the way. Heartfelt congratulations from the TFF membership, and the fragrance industry and community.
