What does it actually take to listen?

Our new essay starts at a hospital bedside and ends in a room full of strangers. On the gift the artists give, the gift we give back just by being there, and why real listening is the whole thing.

Local businesses — this one’s for you.

Our final Open Streets concert of the season is this Sunday, and it happens because neighbors and businesses step up to fund it. When you sponsor, you do two things at once: you pay local artists fairly, and you put your name in front of the hundreds of neighbors who’ll be out on Columbus Ave all afternoon — from the stage, on our supporter materials, and across our promotion.

Join at any level, starting at $100. Every gift is tax-deductible (we’re a 501(c)3), and you’ll be in good company — the Columbus Avenue BID and Mast Market already make these days possible.

Want in? Link in bio, or send us a DM — there’s still time for Sunday. 🙏

This is the moment that gave us our name. 🎹

Our very first show, November 2023. Two pianists who had never met sat down at one piano and improvised “Someday My Prince Will Come” together. Four hands, one keyboard. We knew what to call ourselves.

We told the whole story on the blog this week (link in bio) — but some things you just have to hear. So here it is: the moment itself.

This Sunday, we close out the season. On a real stage for the first time. 🎹

Our final Open Streets concert of the summer is our biggest yet: five hours of free live music, comedy, and one very intriguing mentalist, right on Columbus Avenue.

Here’s the day:
🎹 Matt Baker & Antongiulio Foti trading sets at the piano
🎤 Four featured vocalists backed by our music directors plus bass and drums
🪄 A mentalist and a stand-up set, presented by our friends at the Reverie Room
→ Four sets of music, woven together with comedy and a little mind-reading.

📍 Columbus Ave between 73rd & 74th (in front of Nuts Factory)
🗓 Sunday, July 26 · 12–5pm
🎟 Free — come as you are

Bring a lawn chair, bring an umbrella for shade, and stay a while. Come meet your neighbors and the musicians who live right alongside you — that’s the whole point.

In collaboration with the Reverie Room & Jonathon Timpanelli. Sponsored by the Columbus Avenue BID. 🙏
