Achieve Through Sports Foundation (ATSF) was created by three members with a sole purpose of helping underprivileged young boys and girls mature into disciplined and healthy adults through sports. Due to the inability of the government to provide sufficient funds to finance athletic departments in many public schools, children have been denied the opportunity to play sports. Schools have been prov

iding old and deteriorating equipment in their athletic programs, making practice very uncomfortable and ineffective. They now charge team fees that children must raise to participate in sports teams. Unfortunately, not all families can afford these fees, and as a result, children spend too much time watching television, being unproductive, and sometimes engaging with the wrong type of people. ATSF’s mission is to provide these children with an escape from their every day troubles. Every child should have an ability to participate in a sport they love. Sports provide more for children than most people realize; it develops discipline, social skills, health, teamwork, and self-confidence.
