EDIS collaborated with organizations like Waa Talibi, Way to Lead, Yaseen Orphan, and ASA to host an asylum fair. We provided coats, boots, long johns, gloves, hats, scarves, sweaters, and valuable resources such as information on English classes, IDNYC, health insurance, GED, and more to support African asylum seekers in NYC. While we assisted 200 individuals, many more still seek help, emphasizing that there's more work to be done.
