Please help Himalayan HealthCare save lives and serve many in need during the deadly second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in Nepal. Tens of thousand of people are infected and hundreds dying everyday because of new variant/s which are more transmissible and potentially more virulent. The sad situation in neighboring India is now upon us as we share an open porous border.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, we have provided PPE, thermal guns, etc., to rural communities in Dhading District. We have helped train and test (PCR) village health providers so that they are safer and able to serve better. Our hospital in the town of Ilam was designated as the quarantine center for the region for several months.
We have ordered oxygen concentrator machines for Covid isolation camps or villages so that patients with breathlessness can begin to fight the virus early and hopefully not be hospitalized. We will also provide packages of medicines, PPE, thermal guns, pulse oxymeter, hand sanitizer, etc., where we find the need.
HHC has been on the frontline of disaster relief in Nepal since the civil war in 1996. For HHC's work and service in 29 years please visit our website www.himalayanhealthcare.org
