July is National Ice Cream Month, and our team couldn’t let it pass without celebrating! 🍦
Today, we took a well-deserved ice cream break to enjoy some sweet treats, share a few laughs, and spend time together. Building a strong team isn’t just about the work we do. It’s also about creating moments that bring us together.

Here’s to teamwork, connection, and a little extra sweetness along the way. Happy National Ice Cream Month from all of us at L.O.V.E.! ✨

Our Founder and Executive Director, Claudia Espinosa, was honored to serve as a keynote speaker at The Young Women’s Leadership School of Manhattan’s graduation ceremony.
This celebration was especially meaningful because TYWLS Manhattan was the very first school where L.O.V.E. began mentoring young women. During the event, Claudia reconnected with a L.O.V.E. alumna from 2012, who shared how the program changed her life and how excited she is for her own daughter to one day be part of the L.O.V.E. family.
Moments like these remind us that mentorship creates a lasting impact across generations. Thank you, The Young Women’s Leadership School of Manhattan, for the honor of celebrating your incredible graduates. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓💜

🍷✨ Strengthening Community Partnerships!

L.O.V.E. Mentoring was delighted to attend Fordham University’s Employer Appreciation Wine Tasting, where we connected with fellow employer partners and explored wines from different regions.

Our partnership with Fordham continues to create valuable opportunities for students through internships, campus recruiting, and professional development programs. Through the Serving the City program, we were proud to welcome Julie as a Program Intern!

We are excited to continue growing this partnership and collaborating with the teams behind Serving the City and Fordham’s Career Center to connect more students with meaningful opportunities for growth and leadership.

Thank you, Fordham, for investing in the next generation of leaders! 💜

We are so thankful to Google for welcoming our mentees to their New York headquarters! 💙 Our girls had the amazing opportunity to learn about different careers at Google, hear presentations about what it’s like to work there, and receive advice on what to do if they ever want to pursue a career at Google in the future. Experiences like these inspire our mentees to dream bigger and see all the possibilities ahead of them. Thank you, Google, for investing in the next generation! ✨

Last week at Legacy Leadership, we were excited to welcome a guest speaker from the Civic Engagement Commission who gave an inspiring presentation about People’s Money.
Our girls had the opportunity to learn about civic engagement and participate in the voting process by selecting the community based programs they believe should receive funding in Brooklyn. It was such a meaningful experience to see them use their voices and engage in decisions that directly impact their communities.
Thank you to the Civic Engagement Commission for empowering young leaders and encouraging community involvement!
