Today’s Reminder: We rejoice & are elated that our FAITH is the truest gift that HE has given to us🕊️

Our FAITH in HIM who loves us unconditionally—Our Father who lights up the darkest nights, grows the vastest meadows from one minuscule seed, a bud that had the dream of reaching a cobalt sky—Our Father who shows us the beauty of the rain when we are blinded by the complaints we give when the sky is not coated in golden warmth. Little do we know of the watercolor jewels that cloak the sky after the very storm we complained about. His love for us is the most precious gift, as our FAITH in HIM is the greatest joy🕊️

We rejoice in Him, so let us always be glad🙏🏼

This past Saturday we had the joy in celebrating Der Arshen Aivazian’s 60th anniversary of ordination to the Holy priesthood. He was ordained on August 1, 1965, in Sts. James Cathedral in Jerusalem. We sang selections of Der Arshen’s favorite hymns in his honor.

Over the decades Der Hayr has joyfully served and ministered to all whom he encounters, including several parishes in our diocese.

Der Arshen’s connection to our choir is close as he knew many of our founding members and continues to offer his help with liturgical translations. Congratulations Der Arshen, many more blessed and fruitful years!
