A massive thank you to Kyle Groom Balloons for visiting all 13 of our multi-sport summer camp locations across NYC, Westchester, and New Jersey. From mind-blowing custom balloon creations to non-stop laughter on site, you brought a brand-new layer of excitement and color to our campers’ days.

What is the difference between recess and PE?

PE is a structured class where kids build movement skills, and recess is time for free play and student-led fun. PE teaches the fundamentals, and recess gives kids the space to practice them through play and teamwork.

The CDC recommends at least 20 minutes of daily recess alongside regular PE to keep students focused, healthy, and energized.

From rowing with Row New York to playing the clarinet, Coach Adriana brings a unique mix of discipline, creativity, and energy to her role as After-School Site Director at Brooklyn Prospect International Elementary School!

Every afternoon, she leads our team on the ground to make sure after-school hours run smoothly for school staff and stay inspiring for students. Her focus? Creating an environment where kids feel empowered to step out of their comfort zones, try new sports, and build lasting friendships.

When you have leaders like Coach Adriana on site, after-school becomes the highlight of the day. 💙

Hands-on creativity in action! 🎨🏺

A huge thank you to our friends in Greenpoint for welcoming our campers into your studio for an incredible pottery field trip. Our campers had a blast learning how to shape, mold, and create with real clay!

Hands-on arts experiences give our multi-sport summer camp kids space to express themselves, try new skills, and bring home projects they are truly proud of.

Sports-based youth development uses sports and play as a tool to teach essential life skills like confidence, teamwork, and resilience. The game is simply the vehicle, and the lessons kids learn on the court travel with them into the classroom and beyond.

In our after-school and recess sessions, sports-based youth development happens in the small everyday moments. It is a middle school student encouraging a teammate who missed a shot or an elementary student learning how to win humbly and lose gracefully.

Sports give kids a safe space to try new things, make mistakes, and build character that lasts long after the final whistle.
