Since 1994, has held the Robert Briscoe Awards, an event that honors New Yorkers whose work uplifts communities and celebrates the historic ties between the Irish and Jewish communities of New York.

This year the event will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the .

This year, we are proud to honor Steve Cohen  and  for their work and dedication to improving the quality of life for immigrants.

The award is named after Robert Briscoe, the first Jewish Lord Mayor of Dublin and a leader in Ireland’s fight for independence — a fitting symbol of the deep historic ties between the Irish and Jewish communities that this event celebrates.
