“In Lehrer’s books… words take on thought’s very form, bringing sensory experience to the reader as directly as ink on paper can allow.” The New York Times Book Review

“A welcome voice crying in the contemporary wilderness of political correctness. On-the-money satire seasoned with tolerance and joie de vivre.” Theater Week

“Warren Lehrer’s books are graphically and typographically eye-popping, and his multi-media works have influenced two generations of designers.” Debbie Millman Design Matters

“Funny and sad, topical and biting… Exquisite comic timing. Sloan can make you see your world in a slightly different way. And that’s what theater is supposed to do.” The Indianapolis Star

We appreciate the support for "Imperfect Allies: Children of Opposite Sides." This collaborative performance by Judith Sloan and Najla Said delves into the intricate narratives surrounding Israel/Palestine, fostering essential dialogue. Due to popular demand, we've added a performance on October 26 and will present the piece in Washington, DC from December 11-14 as part of the Voices from a Changing Middle East Festival. Your contributions are crucial for our ongoing projects; consider supporting our mission through donations or visiting our EarSay Shop.

Honored to see that Zoe Weil—Co-Founder/President of the Institute For Humane Education and author of the excellent new book The Solutionary Way—included my and Judith Sloan’s CROSSING the BLVD: Strangers, Neighbors, Aliens in a New America (W.W. Norton) on her just-published list of “The Five Best Books for People Who Want to Build a Better Future,” on sheperds.com. I knew that Zoe has used CROSSING the BLVD as part of the graduate program in Humane Education, but it’s heartening to know that it (still) stands out for her. “At a time when immigration has become such a polarizing issue, this book is a journey into the stories of immigrants in Queens, NY.” She says more about it on the link below where you can also read about her book which is a very readable, practical guide to “transforming your life, your community, and the world for the better.” With a Foreward by Dr. Jane Goodall. Thank you, Zoe Weil!
