Earth Day Submissions are now open!

This year’s exhibition brings together artists, organizations, and communities exploring how creativity, environmental awareness, and everyday action protect our planet.

Alongside the exhibition, we are building shared resource lists, highlighting sustainable practices, and creating opportunities for people to contribute in meaningful ways.

We are looking for artwork and creative projects that reflect relationships with the natural world, including themes of environment, stewardship, sustainability, restoration, community resilience, and the ways people are rethinking materials and creative practices.

Artists working in all visual mediums are welcome to submit, including photography, painting, mixed media, digital work, video, and experimental practices. Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply, and submissions are open internationally.

AI-generated artwork is not accepted.

We are also inviting community groups, environmental organizations, educators, small businesses, and individuals to participate by sharing the work they are already doing.

This includes:
+ Community projects and local initiatives
+ Environmental programs or events
+ Sustainable studio or business practices
+ Creative reuse ideas and material innovation
+ Resource lists, tools, and educational efforts that help others make more environmentally responsible choices

By sharing real practices and lived experiences, we are building a collective resource that helps artists and communities learn from one another and discover practical ways to care for the planet.

What if one of the most common pieces of trash in the world could become something meaningful?

The Plastic Cap Eco-Art Challenge invites artists, classrooms, and communities to collect plastic bottle caps and transform them into creative works of art, diverting these small plastics, which often break down into microplastics, into something that can last a lifetime.

Collect.
Count.
Create.
Share.

From small mosaics to community murals, every cap becomes part of a larger story about creativity, awareness, and protecting the planet.

Join us as part of our Earth Day program, and help show how small actions can grow into collective global impact.

“Take what you need... as the ice melts, both metaphorically, and in some sense, literally, this piece began as a need to process the brutality of the world, the destruction of society and nature, of people and planetary harm. ICE Melt holds many layers of symbolism and simplicity, meant to reveal the parallels, of light and dark, destruction and hope, harm and care. Political and environmental undertones speak to the harm caused by lack of care for people and the planet, but despite it all, the beauty of humanity emerges, standing firm, while offering hope. Like many others right now, we are experiencing the dichotomy of deep sadness, suffering, and horrific violence, with an urgent need for hope, peace, courage, justice, truth, and love.” -

ICE MELT, is part of a larger body of work, and exhibition series launching in 2026. Created by resident artist and curator Phyllis DR Sanders, this collection is a personal journey of processing harm and trauma, of using art as a form of healing, and hope.

Stay tuned for opening dates and more details!

“This art piece greatly symbolizes the transformation that an individual ultimately achieves as a result of doing some intense inner work. We are initially individualized by the experiences we've walked past in our lives. Such experiences originate right from our upbringing, then via our adult lives, resulting in the ways we view ourselves and the world around us through our confirmation biased filters existing in our consciousness. A majority of people have been caught up in harsh and negative encounters throughout their years of growth stemming from unresolved family traumas, rigid cultural systems, and toxic societies. All these have eventually shaped unfavourable thought and emotional patterns, which have shaped their lives with elements of dissatisfaction, discontentment, fear, anxiety, and lack of self-worth just to mention a few. Inevitably, at one point in an individual's life, the soul begins to scream louder than the ego, this being a call to detach from the standards of the external world and to give utmost attention to one's transformation and renewing of their minds, which should be largely focused on purpose, passion, desire and unconditional love. Viewers are invited to allow way from conscious healing, to practice forgiveness and acceptance, to fuel self-love, to redefine self-identity and self-concept, also to operate on authenticity and reclaiming of power. It is through this form of transcendence that one can no longer be manipulated or controlled, but can live in truth and firmness, as an integral and resilient being, having the capacity to discern and to make decisions from a deeper place of their own free will, then being able to blossom gracefully wherever they are.” - Erica Molefi .leeanne.molefi
