Thank you to the Rotary Club of New York for joining us for a special Captain Training last weekend! The mission of the Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders and we’re thrilled to welcome them as our newest community partner. Several Rotarians had the opportunity to get trained as new Captains and we look forward to welcoming them to future rides! Also a huge shout out to for keeping us hydrated on a hot day!

If you’ve ever been on a ride with InTandem, you’ve likely stopped by our trusty Trailer, currently packed with 21 tandem bikes, t-shirts and swag, bike parts, tools, and more! It’s not a surprise that a deep clean is necessary from time to time, and we were lucky enough to have some amazing volunteers from Morgan Stanley (.stanley) come by yesterday to do just that! This enthusiastic crew helped organize, scrub down, and neatly “reset” our Trailer so that we can keep riding smoothly. Thank you, Morgan Stanley, for this priceless support!!

Over the past couple of months, we have had the absolute pleasure of empowering the next generation of cyclists! As part of the InTandem Youth Initiative, we trained 12 high school aged Captains in tandem cycling, and taught them best practices on tandem safety and how to best be of support to a Stoker.

Through this programming, our Captains grew in their leadership, communication skills, and understanding of how to be more inclusive in their everyday life - and, of course, while riding a tandem! Thank you to these fantastic teens for their dedication and participation!

As things are heating up, the InTandem community is staying booked and busy! We were very excited to have our first 90th Street Ride of the season this past Saturday, along with training some enthusiastic new Stokers. On Sunday, we hosted our 2nd Youth Program session with a crew of 9 fantastic high school Captains, and tabled at Access to Independence Transportation Resource Fair. Whew! We’re so grateful for all these exciting rides and engagements, which serve as reminders of why we do what we do.

What a ride!! We could not be more proud and grateful for Team InTandem’s amazing dedication at yesterday’s 2026 TD Five Boro Bike Tour. Our crew of 20 tandems and 8 solo bikes had a thrilling and windy 40 mile ride through all five boroughs of New York City, taking on hills, bridges, ferries, and more!! Days like yesterday make us incredibly grateful for this community of supporters we have, working together to make tandem cycling inclusive for all.

A HUGE Thank You as well to our “off-bike” supporters for the ride - InTandem Volunteers providing bagels and coffee at the start line, and SecondSkin for providing goodies for our Five Boro Cyclists, and of course, and to our friends at for making the ride both welcoming and accessible.

What a lovely weekend for another Out of the Park Ride! This past Saturday, our friends from and , Anna and Eric, led us on a great 15 mile ride through Central Park, East Harlem, and of course, Randall's Island. We got to see the spring blooms, explore neighborhoods, and overall, share great times together! So grateful for partnerships like this, and looking forward to more rides together 🚲🌸
