On Sunday, June 7, 2026, midtown Manhattan's iconic Madison Avenue was transformed into a sea of red, white, blue, and gold. In this video, we bring you front-row coverage of the 36th Annual Philippine Independence Day Parade and the 128th Philippine Independence Anniversary Commemoration in New York City!

Organized by the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI) in close cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General in New York, this year’s historic celebration centered around a powerful and resonant theme: “Let Us Live the Freedom We Celebrate – and Lift the Nation We Love.”

✨ WHAT’S IN THIS VIDEO:
• The Grand Procession: Marching down Madison Avenue (from 38th St to 27th St), featuring spectacular cultural performances, grand floats, and thousands of Filipino-Americans proudly wearing traditional Barong Tagalog, Baro’t Saya, and regional attire.
• Cultural Highlights: Special guest delegations, including a showcase of the vibrant Lambayok Festival all the way from San Juan, Batangas!
• Philippines Fest & Street Fair: A look at the bustling marketplace on 26th Street, packed with over 30 culinary and retail vendors serving up mouth-watering Filipino street food classics like lechon, sisig, pork barbecue, and refreshing halo-halo.
• Cultural Festival with Star-Studded TFC Happy Hour: Highlights from the massive cultural concert at Madison Square Park featuring major celebrity headliners like Kyle Echarri, JMKO and Ruffa Gutierrez!

This year's 2026 commemoration also beautifully marked the historic 80th anniversary of formal diplomatic relations between the United States and the Philippines, honoring ancestral roots while looking forward to a bright future.
