❤❤❤❤❤ AVEENA ❤❤❤❤❤ FOR ADOPTION

This beauty is a healthy 10-year-old spayed female who is getting beaten up in her foster home by a couple of (neutered) alpha males. This makes no sense because all was well for some time and the males were neutered young each at about age 10 weeks but for some reason they are ganging up on her. She tries to hold her ground but there have erupted several down-and-out loud catfights in the last couple months that have the neighbors wondering what is going on.

AVEENA would benefit being an only kitty; we think she's simply had it with competing for attention in a multi-cat household. She's healthy, FeLV/FIV negative, spayed, current in vaccinations, microchipped and has another ten years left with good care and a bit of luck. She has been on the petfinder site for adoption but the inquirers either did not fill out an application or were quite young and still in school without a certain income.

Please inquire for more information and/or an adoption application. Please reach out here, text (917) 484 2870 or email [email protected] for more information.

Honestly, this kitty - ❤❤❤ JOEY ❤❤❤ - is an angel - handsome, sweet, well-behaved, polite with other pets. Who would not want to give him a purrrrmanent, loving home????

Please reach out to us here if you are interested in adopting this handsome dude.

1/11/24 (Date of DCIN’s first post-updated 5/18/25) Yes he has been waiting OVER 2 years!
Joey is a jewel!

Joey ( #184257) is a handsome senior who came into Place For Cats' (New York, New York) care in October 2023 from NYC ACC's At Risk list. He is being fostered on Staten Island, NY.

JOEY is a delightful tuxedo gentleman who has been on Place For Cats adoption roster for more than two years and going on three!!!! He is handsome, friendly, likes to participate in household goings-on and is healthy although does require daily insulin injections for diabetes. However, the condition is well-controlled and JOEY is such a gem that it is a mystery why he hasn't been scooped up!!!!

Joey is really a friendly guy! His foster mom wrote that it didn't take long at all for Joey to acclimate to the household and form a routine. He's a friendly guy and gets along with the foster's own kitty.

Giving the daily insulin injection is not hard at all to do. In most cases it's much easier than giving a pill; the needle is teeny and most animals don't feel it.

Please reach out to them or email [email protected] for more information about JOEY and/or to set up a meet & greet with this sweet guy!

❤A GRATITUDE & INVITATION POST!!!!!!! ❤

Place For Cats wholeheartedly thanks the wonderful ❤KitNipBox❤ folks for the FABULOUS monthly gift boxes of quality toys and treats that we have received for going on three years!!

When we received the first gift box 30 months ago, we were surprised to see a unique and outstanding grouping of playthings for kitties. A beautiful "Thank You" postcard lay on top of the gift toys. On the back of the Thank You card was a description of each toy. Each toy was attached to its own name card.

That one box was deeply appreciated, and we thought "that would be that. How nice that a company recognizes us." But then, MONTHLY boxes began arriving ‼️‼️

Each box contained toys of a theme, usually the theme of the holiday or event of the month, be it Valentine's Day, Spring Has Arrived, Swim Club, 4th of July, Back To School, Halloween, etc.

Cats are sooooooooo smart! They smelled the catnip through the box and were all over the box as soon as each arrived. Once opened, there was NO time to remove the toy from its name card - the cats stole the toys then & there still attached to their cards and were off with them!!

In order to be able to set aside toys for our wards living with other foster parents, our director had to open the box out of sight of the felines at our group's main location and hide them in order to be able to distribute them later.

The theme boxes are creative and the Thank You cards are collectible and reminders of which toys were in which group. One of the themes loved by PFC's director, Mia, was the Wizarding Whiskers KitNipBox! Harry Potter, move over! The crinkle fabric sorcerer's mat and enchanting toys are in a magical league of their own. (Pictures in comments.)

To order a subscription of KitNipBoxes for the feline(s) of your dreams, please use this link which contains a discount code "PLACEFORCATS": https://www.kitnipbox.com/subscribe?coupon=PLACEFORCATS

That link automatically contains the code and will give new subscribers a 26% discount off their first box! Additionally, KitNipBox will make a $20 donation to Place For Cats for every new subscription! ❤

The KitNipBox toys have been a wonderful addition to the regular functioning of Place For Cats. We have been able to provide new toys regularly to kitties already on our roster as well as to incoming kitties going into new foster homes. Also to have been able to deliver adoptees to their furrrever homes with a fresh new toy or two in the carrier consistently has been a hit with new cat parents!

❤ We sincerely hope you will take advantage of the offer from KitNipBox for the 26% off the first box, knowing that the company also will provide Place For Cats with a $20 donation! ❤

Heartfelt thanks to KitNipBox!!!

And now, our kitties are ready to pounce on the Wizarding Whiskers Collection of goodies and cast some spells!

Hello All. We are hoping to bring this beautiful peach Persian to NYC from Alexandria, Egypt, where Rescuer Sohila Ezzat will care for her until she is adopted.

It is a horrible custom in Egypt to bring into the home 4 - 6 weeks old Persian kittens for children to play with and then - literally - throw them onto the streets when the kittens reach adolescence. Instead of spaying or neutering, the older kittens are thrown out like garbage. Most do not survive. There are no government run shelters of any kind anywhere. There are no government sponsored programs to educate the public on sterilization and many in the culture oppose sterilization on religious grounds.

ONLY Rescuers try to compensate with their own money, time, space and energy. There are many excellent Rescuers in Egypt but their combined efforts do not come anywhere near what is needed to save the millions of cats and dogs who are bludgeoned, hung, stabbed, poisoned, or otherwise tortured to death in the streets. Most are tortured by ignorant hoodlums and/or starve to death.

Place For Cats has agreed to sponsor this kitty's medical care and journey to NYC if we can find an approved adopter. PLEASE consider opening your heart and your home to this beautiful little soul. We will update you with pictures as soon as kitty sees the vet and starts her medical regimen of FeLV/FIV blood test, sterilization, vaccinations and all necessary medical treatment and care.

Again, special thanks to Egyptian Rescuer Sohila.
