Have you wanted to write a piece for a live choir and receive direct feedback throughout the process?

In June, we invite up to 10 composers to workshop a new piece of choral music with our 12-voice professional ensemble. Throughout the week, composers submit multiple drafts and engage directly with singers in reading sessions, receiving invaluable feedback from the human beings who will actually sing their music. The week culminates with a public concert of world premieres, all composed during the Institute. This concert is a favorite event of many of our long-time supporters and is always warmly received!
