At a time of ongoing discussions about Iran and regional security, one principle must remain clear: no agreement should limit Israel’s ability to defend its citizens.

On News X, AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer Jason Isaacson explains why Hezbollah remains a serious threat to both Israel and Lebanon—and why any future arrangement must recognize Israel’s right to respond to attacks against its people.

While we await developments about the reported 60-day ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and begin negotiations on a more comprehensive agreement, we remain focused on the underlying threats posed by the Iranian regime that have destabilized the Middle East for decades.

Any comprehensive agreement with Iran that emerges after this 60-day ceasefire period should focus on ensuring that the Iranian regime can never obtain a nuclear weapon, cannot rebuild its ballistic missile program, and curbs its support for terror proxies. Such an agreement must also ensure that Iran is unable to threaten U.S. allies and partners in the region or hold freedom of navigation through international waterways hostage.

AJC also strongly supports the legitimate aspirations of the Iranian people for greater freedom, opportunity and dignity, and hopes that those aspirations are eventually realized. As the contours of this and future agreements become more clear, we will continue to engage with our partners in the U.S., the Middle East, and around the world to make this vision a reality.

At 2026, leading experts on AI, online extremism, and antisemitism examined how rapidly evolving technologies are transforming the information landscape and the fight against antisemitism.

Dr. Maya Ackerman, an early researcher of antisemitism in AI, Dr. Brian Hughes of the USC Shoah Foundation’s Countering Antisemitism Laboratory, and Dr. Matthias Becker, a scholar of antisemitic discourse and digital hate speech, explored the role of artificial intelligence in amplifying harmful narratives, while also identifying new opportunities to hold technology companies accountable and develop solutions to counter anti-Jewish hate.

This is Israel! Today, more than 100,000 people from around the world took to the streets of Tel Aviv to celebrate in the annual Pride Parade.

This event is the largest LGBTQ+ celebration in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world, serving as a proud display of the openness, freedom, and diversity that define Israeli society.

In May alone, antisemitic incidents were recorded in 29 out of London's 32 boroughs, according to London's Metropolitan Police Service data.

Antisemitic incidents in London rose a whopping 72% in May compared to April, and a staggering 172% over last year.

This is what happens when antisemitic rhetoric becomes normalized and Jews are targeted because of a geopolitical conflict thousands of miles away.

We urge the British government, the Mayor of London, and the Met Police to continue to ramp up efforts to protect the Jewish community.

"From the river to the sea" is not a riddle. It is a phrase that can incite violence and one that 68% of U.S. adults, who have heard the phrase, associate with antisemitic incidents, according to AJC’s State of Antisemitism in America 2025 Report.

At AJC Global Forum, Aviva Klompas cut through the debate over intent: regardless of how some people use these slogans, they have led to real-life harm to Jewish people.

We thank Congressman Dan Goldman and Rep. Mike Lawler for their bipartisan leadership in introducing the House companion to the Jewish American Security Act.

At a time of rising antisemitism and increased threats targeting Jewish communities, this bipartisan legislation represents an important step toward strengthening the safety and security of Jewish Americans across the country.

This bipartisan bill is also a game changer for protecting students from discrimination in school and on campus.

Gayle Horwitz of AJC's Center for Education Advocacy shares what all families need to know about the Jewish American Security Act.

Hagar Chemali, co-founder of the Lebanon-Israel Peace Alliance, shares her insights on what it will take to dismantle Hezbollah, stop the Iranian regime from supporting its terror proxy, and allow Lebanon to pursue a more prosperous and peaceful future.

To truly neutralize the terror group, three things must happen: forceful disarmament by the Lebanese military, the removal of Hezbollah from government, and zero sanctions relief for Iran.

As a rare Ebola outbreak spreads across parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, we are partnering with IsraAID to support response efforts in affected communities.

Building on our longstanding partnership, AJC’s contribution will support efforts to contain the spread of the disease, strengthen local response capabilities, and provide care for those affected. Funding comes from AJC’s Heilbrunn Humanitarian Relief Fund.

This initiative reflects our ongoing engagement in both countries, where we regularly meet with government officials, including presidents, cabinet ministers, and ambassadors. Earlier this year, we led a delegation to Kinshasa.

Humanitarian partnership is a core part of our global work and we stand with the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda as they respond to this outbreak.

This week marks two years since Arnon Zamora led the daring IDF rescue mission that freed four hostages held in Gaza by Hamas: Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv.

Under intense fire, Zamora shielded his team and the hostages, helping ensure that all four captives were brought home alive. Tragically, he was fatally wounded during the operation. A husband. A father of two. A hero.

The mission was renamed Operation Arnon in his honor — a testament to the sacrifice he made defending Israel and bringing the hostages home.

May his memory be a blessing.
