This Year's Theme: 🎸Rock N' The Wave

The “Rock & Wave” theme represents the strength, resilience, and spirit of Rockaway Youth. The “rock” symbolizes stability, unity, and standing strong through challenges, while the “wave” represents movement, creativity, growth, and the energy of our community. Together, the theme reflects the balance between being grounded in who we are and continuing to push forward toward new opportunities and success.

Yesterday, UNH joined Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Governor Kathy Hochul, Chancellor Kamar Samuels, Council Member Shekar Krishnan, Council Member Jen Gutierrez, and Emmy Liss as they announced nearly 100,000 offers to families for 3-K and Pre-K for the upcoming school year in programs closer to their homes.

Not only do neighborhood settlement houses deliver critical early childhood education for New York's cutest, but they have been on the forefront of the fight for universal child care.

UNH is grateful for the providers who keep our early childhood education programs running and look forward to continuing the work to ensure every family has access to child care.
