PCOM NY Khamau Student Association

PCOM NY Khamau Student Association 'Khamau' means the original black people of the Nile Valley in Africa. Khamau Student Association (S I love this concept!

Khamau Student Association (Khamau-SA) at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine's New York Campus was formed in September 2008 and restarted March 2013. Our mission is to foster a sense of community, family and support amongst our members. Khamau is a name representing ancient Egyptians who created and lived in one of the most peaceful civilations in the history of mankind and made many great contr

ibutions in the arts and sciences that are still being used today. They achieved this with the guidance of the 7 Principles of Maat which are: Truth, Righteousness, Law, Order, Balance, Harmony and Reciprocity. They taught that each day is a 'Day Of Judgment' and that we should live our lives in a way to keep our heart light enough that it can be weighed on a scale with the other side being balanced with a feather. We certainly cannot have a heart that light if it is full of fear, shame, guilt, anger, greed, etc. Reinforced by the fact that our culture carries its own systems of indigenous medicines, our overall vision is to help our members to become world class healers. We look forward to exploring our history and experience a higher level of learning together.
