Bruce Blakeman is spreading misinformation and stoking fear instead of offering real solutions. The only way we can actually lower energy costs and address New Yorkers’ energy and affordability challenges is to build out our energy infrastructure.

Offshore wind is working today. In the U.S., more than 1 GW of power is already on the grid, delivering reliable electricity, lowering costs, and supporting American jobs.

With 675 U.S. companies engaged and billions invested in the supply chain, this industry is strengthening America’s energy and manufacturing in real time. As energy demand rises, offshore wind remains one of the fastest, most scalable solutions available.

Due to a prolonged budget process, many environmental priorities failed to reach the finish line. Still, lawmakers made progress on expanding access to clean energy, protecting public health and strengthening climate resilience.

99% of people worldwide breathe unhealthy air.

Air pollution comes from many sources, with fossil fuels being a primary cause. Invisible molecules released into the atmosphere along with CO2, like nitrous oxide, find their way into our bodies with every breath we take, and lead to health effects like lung cancer, developmental issues, and more.

There are ways to reduce harmful emissions and clean our planet's air through technology like all electric vehicles and air quality tracking systems. In addition, over 50 countries, cities, and organizations have committed to cutting air pollution emissions in half by 2040.

NYLCV is thrilled that the Senate confirmed Kathy Moser as Commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. She brings an extraordinary depth of experience to this role, from her years at the Open Space Institute, DEC, and The Nature Conservancy. Her career has been defined by a commitment to protecting and stewarding New York's natural resources, and we know she will bring that same dedication to our state parks. We're especially proud that Kathy has been part of the NYLCV family through her service on our Capital District board. Governor Hochul has made an excellent choice, and we look forward to continued partnership with Commissioner Moser to ensure that New York's parks and open spaces are protected for generations to come.

✅ BILL PASSED! ✅

As we face more frequent extreme weather, expanding New York’s C-PACE program will make it easier for property owners to access the resources they need to make critical clean energy upgrades and ensure their infrastructure is more resilient.

Thank you Senator Kevin Parker, Assemblyman Steve Stern, and leadership in both chambers for passing this NYLCV Scorecard Bill!
