Naya Jeevan Foundation

Naya Jeevan Foundation Naya Jeevan means "new life". The charities we support do just that. Give new life to young girls and women, survivors of human trafficking.

Start with Ninorah being Indian, plus Edward's international travel experience and insight, and then add having a 13 year old daughter in the house and you can see where helping young girls trafficked into s*xual slavery in India would play an important role in their efforts to help others. It started a few years ago when our daughter CB wanted to donate to a charity instead of receiving gifts. Ou

r research led us to two anti-trafficking charities in India which we continue to support. But we wanted to do more, to reach beyond our own personal means. So we have established Naya Jeevan Foundation so that our friends and family can also help. And do so in a tax deductible way.

We salute you for your unconditional ‘karma’ & we are grateful to have this opportunity to honour you, on 8th March

Well done!

Yet another success for our Mumbai team which assisted the authorities in conducting a rescue operation and ended up rescuing a 15 year old girl. Three accused were arrested in the same case.

We are thankful to the authorities for their support and timely response.

Episode #61

Yashi, as she’s popularly known, is a Connecticut based homeopath with nearly three decades of experience in the medical field. Yashi’s way of practising homeopathy is a bit different from the traditional way. She strives to empower and educate families that are looking for a safer, alternative way to good health. She does this by teaching them the basics of homeopathy so that they can manage everyday ailments themselves.
Over the years, Yashi has helped hundreds of families and thousands in need. Her practice was non-profit until 2017. The fee was to “Pay it forward” by supporting non-profits close to her heart. Since 2018, new families have been paying for her time, while families that are part of the Homeopathic community continue to donate instead of consultation fees.
Enjoy Yashi’s heartwarming story of using her qualification and experience to make a difference in the world.

‘In 2005 my husband had an accident on his way back from a human trafficking rescue operation, I still don’t believe it was an accident but I was fighting a lost battle when I tried to force further investigation.
I am a former journalist and I remember visiting Kamathipura (Mumbai’s notoriously famous red light area) when I was reporting about a veteran actor tying Rakhi from a s*x worker. This was my first exposure to the world of human s*x trafficking
I couldn’t live with what I witnessed, when there I got talking to some girls who shared their live stories and how they were forcefully sold; kids as young as 11 years old! I went back with unrest. A discussion with my husband and looking more into it we both vowed to work for this cause and free women who have been sold, married into human slavery or kidnapped to be sucked into this world.
When we started this initiative our only intention was to rescue human slavery victims which eventually gave birth to The Rescue Foundation; Our Non Charitable Organisation which has done some great work with conducting individual and mass rescue operations over the years.
Till date we have rescued 5000 girls and have managed to build 4 home shelters across the country.
Our primary focus is Investigation, Rescue and Rehabilitation. Months go into rehabilitating girls who come out of this life. Whether mental health issues, drug addiction, unwanted pregnancies we take care of these issues and get them ready for the real world.
I am not worried of the outcome of my work, I know I am treading on risky grounds but it doesn’t scare me because the show must go on and today we have a strong core team who are human trafficking survivors and will carry on the baton if something happens to me because I earnestly wish for a world where we don’t need an NGO to curb human trafficking and I am not going to be at rest till child human trafficking is wiped out of the crime charts of India.‘
