Angelo, and Sammi Cains met in Improv 301 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre's Training Center. Over the course of their 8 week class, the 3 bonded over the love they had for creating art (specifically improv comedy) from the ground up. On the day of their class graduation show, the 3 decided to meet and discuss putting together a production company that served to expand and enable a communit

y of up-and-coming artists to reach a larger audience. The Upstarts exists to help new artists get their work OUT. Whether it be by:
-Performing as one of our 3 improv teams at the monthly show we put on at Kraine Theatre (a show aptly titled The Upstarts),

-Serving as the stand up comedian, drag queen, musician, et. host of The Upstarts show at the Kraine Theatre,

-Utilizing our ever-expanding community of friends/colleagues who will flock to the location of your next web short to serve as background or bit parts or pay the 2 drink minimum at your next gig,

or

-Using our fan base to promote your next project,

the ways in which The Upstarts seeks to help create more art from new talent is truly limitless. Join us on our quest to help each other achieve goal after goal.
