✨ Happy Founders Day! ✨

Today, we celebrate our shared charism and the enduring call to live courageous communion in our time. 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Global Community of Joseph Founders Day Prayer Service, A Call to Courageous Communion: Living the Charism in Our Time.

May our time together in prayer inspire us to deepen our union with God, our neighbors, and one another as we continue living the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph in our world today.

Missed the gathering or want to pray with us again? The recording of the prayer service is now available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhSRy_J9HqQ

Let us continue to build bridges of love, unity, and communion across our Global Community of Joseph. 💙

This week's announcement that the U.S. Department of Defense intends to publicly execute Mr. Nidal Hasan is a weapon of calculated escalation of violence against human beings, intended to stir up hatred and fear.

Let us see clearly and name publicly that the current administration's multi-faceted unleashing of governmental power to do violence is a comprehensive and direct assault against the Catholic ethic of protecting life in all its forms. This is also true of the violence recently committed against Ms. Christa Pike by the State of Tennessee in its failed attempt to end her life.

At the same time that we publicly denounce the death penalty, we must also take concrete actions as companions of Jesus in our own circumstances. What will be your personal act of Courageous Communion, of turning toward fear with love in this moment?

As we continue this journey together:
➡May our prayer and actions bear bold witness to the God of life and love.
➡May God bless those military service members who are currently discerning their
moral responsibilities with wisdom, courage, and peace.
➡May Saint Joseph's humble obedience to the Holy Spirit throughout his life stir up our own willingness to foster God's unconditional love in the world today.

Join us on Wednesday, October 14, for our annual Founder's Day Prayer Service, this year focused on the theme of "Living the Charism in our Time."

❤ Our Founders Day Prayer Service will continue to break open the treasure of our CSSJ charism's call to courageous communion. How and where are we opening our hearts and minds to the possibility of encounters of communion? What invitations are ours to embrace that respond to the treasure and grace already given to us?

We hope you’ll make time to join us for this special gathering of the Global Community of Joseph.
