We are thrilled to announce that our talented dance group from the Cretan Brotherhood family of New York will be performing at the annual Three Hierarchs Festival this coming Friday, May 29! Our youth have been working incredibly hard to perfect their steps, and we could not be prouder to see them represent our rich Cretan heritage. We warmly encourage all of our members, family, and friends to come out, cheer them on, and show our strong community support.

Looking ahead, we are also excited to host our End of Year BBQ on Friday, June 12! Mark your calendars for an evening filled with great food, wonderful company, and plenty of Cretan cheer as we celebrate the conclusion of a fantastic year together. We truly hope to see everyone at both of these wonderful events!

Με μεγάλη χαρά σας ανακοινώνουμε ότι το ταλαντούχο χορευτικό συγκρότημα της οικογένειας της Κρητικής Αδελφότητας Νέας Υόρκης θα εμφανιστεί στο ετήσιο Φεστιβάλ των Τριών Ιεραρχών αυτό το Παρασκευή, 29 Μαΐου! Τα παιδιά μας έχουν δουλέψει εξαιρετικά σκληρά για να τελειοποιήσουν τα βήματά τους και είμαστε απίστευτα υπερήφανοι που τα βλέπουμε να εκπροσωπούν την πλούσια κρητική μας κληρονομιά. Ενθαρρύνουμε θερμά όλα τα μέλη, τις οικογένειες και τους φίλους μας να έρθουν, να τα χειροκροτήσουν και να δείξουν τη δυναμική στήριξη της κοινότητάς μας.

Κοιτάζοντας μπροστά, είμαστε επίσης στην ευχάριστη θέση να σας προσκαλέσουμε στο μπάρμπεκιου (BBQ) για το κλείσιμο της χρονιάς, το οποίο θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή 12 Ιουνίου! Σημειώστε την ημερομηνία στο ημερολόγιό σας για μια βραδιά γεμάτη καλό φαγητό, υπέροχη παρέα και άφθονο κρητικό κέφι, καθώς γιορτάζουμε μαζί την ολοκλήρωση μιας φανταστικής χρονιάς. Ελπίζουμε ολόψυχα να σας δούμε όλους και στις δύο αυτές όμορφες εκδηλώσεις!

We are writing to share how incredibly proud we are of our dance group for their outstanding performance at the Greek Festival at Kimisis in Brooklyn this past Friday. They truly represented us beautifully.

We are also proud to announce the launch of our new YouTube channel! Videos from this event have already been posted, along with other footage from our historical events. Please subscribe to the channel as we continue to add more content.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce that in two weeks, our group will be performing at our Syllogo to live music from Crete, featuring George Maggelakis and George Manolioudis. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16th, at 7:00 PM.

Please see the attached flyer for further details. This is a very popular event, and seats are expected to fill up quickly, so we encourage you to secure yours soon. All proceeds from this event will be directly allocated to our roof fund.

We hope to see you all there to support our dancers and enjoy a wonderful night of music and community.

Today, we had a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast for our kids! Everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by our very own George Plevritis. The children had a great time coloring Easter eggs, participating in an exciting egg hunt, and taking part in a fun scavenger hunt around the syllogo.

We were delighted by a special appearance from our dancing Easter Bunny! Our club President, Manolis Xenakis, treated everyone to ice cream, which was a big hit.

Everyone had a fantastic time! A very special thank you to George Plevritis and Maria Nikoloudakis, who put in so much time and effort to make this a fun and memorable event that everyone enjoyed!

Σήμερα είχαμε ένα υπέροχο Κυνήγι Πασχαλινών Αυγών και Πρωινό για τα παιδιά μας! Όλοι απόλαυσαν ένα νόστιμο πρωινό που ετοίμασε ο Γιώργος Πλευρίτης. Τα παιδιά διασκέδασαν βάφοντας πασχαλινά αυγά, συμμετέχοντας σε ένα συναρπαστικό κυνήγι αυγών και παίρνοντας μέρος σε ένα διασκεδαστικό κυνήγι θησαυρού γύρω από τον σύλλογο.

Μας ενθουσίασε η ξεχωριστή εμφάνιση του χορευτικού Πασχαλινού Λαγού! Ο Πρόεδρος του συλλόγου μας, Μανώλης Ξενάκης, κέρασε όλους παγωτό, το οποίο άρεσε πολύ σε όλους.

Περάσαμε όλοι φανταστικά! Ένα πολύ μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στον Γιώργο Πλευρίτη και τη Μαρία Νικολουδάκη, που αφιέρωσαν τόσο χρόνο και προσπάθεια για να γίνει αυτή η όμορφη και αξέχαστη εκδήλωση που απόλαυσαν όλοι!

Please be advised that tomorrow at 10am we will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and breakfast for the children. We will also have other Easter festivities. Dance practice for both our groups had been moved to 12 pm to coincide with the event. Any children not part of the current dance group are encouraged to stay and participate if they would like. Please contact us to RSVP to the event.

Today we visited the Greek residents of St. Michael’s Home and had a truly wonderful day spending time together. A Karagiozi skit was written and performed by our dear 7-year-old Yianni Kasimis, with the help of his uncle and board member George Plevritis, and the residents absolutely loved it. Our beautiful girls from the older dance group also danced several Cretan dances for everyone to enjoy.

Live Cretan music was performed by Greg Manouselakis and Chris Fasarakis, President of the Omonoia Chapter, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. All of the residents appreciated the music, and some joined in for a fun kalamatiano.

It was a special day filled with warmth, culture, and community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us today, and a special thank you to Fay Lambrakos for organizing this trip on behalf of the Cretan Brotherhood.
